Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a type of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy developed in the late 1980s by psychologist Marsha M. Linehan to help better treat borderline personality disorder. Since its development, it has also been used for the treatment of other kinds of mental health disorders.
Integrated Group Therapy (IGT)
Integrated Group Therapy is a psychotherapy tool that not only treats an individual for both disorders at the same time, but it addresses both of the disorders in singular sessions as though there is one condition. The integrated group therapy methods are similar to cognitive behavioral therapies in that group members share their experiences over the course of the previous week. Rather than speaking only to whether they had success or relapse in their drug use, they also focus on their mood swings and other issues that relate to both disorders.
